Maui Ocean Center Aquarium
Named on of “Top 10 Aquariums in the World” by TripAdvisor, the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium is a great way to view some of Hawaii’s famous marine life without getting wet! This aquarium is a small but wonderful, and is located near the Maalaea Harbor just off Highway 30 on your way to Lahaina. Daily presentations involve the centers Tide Pool, Open Ocean area and the Turtle Lagoon. They also offer a Behind the Scenes tour. Haleakala National Park
It took 500,000 years to create this stunning Maui attraction. Haleakala stands 10,023 feet above sea level. It is the most popular attraction in Upcountry Maui. It is famous for it’s panoramic vista’s of Maui’s central valley and the crater floor itself. Make sure to bring a coat when you visit as the temperatures at the summit can be very chilly!
Iao Needle State Monument
The Iao Needle State Monument is probably one of those must sees. The 1200-foot-high needle was created by water erosion over many years of the softer rock in the area, this erosion left the harder rock of the needle itself and created its famous shape. This site is known for it’s beautiful lush greenery and wonderful river that travels through the valley floor. Great trip with kids.
Maui Arts & Cultural Center
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center each month presents a wide range of events. These events range from a wide array of music, comedy, and art among other offerings. It is located in Kahului. You can get tickets by calling (808) 242-SHOW.
